PROJECT STATEMENT

As product teams across Microsoft embraced the release of the Fluent Design System, app launcher icons felt increaseingly disconnected from the product experience and the Microsoft brand itself. As a designer on the Dynamics 365 team, we undertook the redesign for icons across all Business Application products to drive cohesion across our digital experiences and positively influence brand recognition.

Concurrently, we joined product teams across Office and Windows to build product icon guidelines across Microsoft. As a cross-functional team we
developed a flexible yet unified icon design framework that aligned with Microsoft's Fluent design language, resonated with customers, and scaled across the company's diverse ecosystem. Creating this system not only showcased technical design expertise but also highlighted the importance of effective cross-company collaboration in creating a cohesive visual identity.
