PROJECT STATEMENT

In-car navigation for Google Maps originated from a framework that was designed for small breakpoints and continues to face challenges as the industry shifts towards non-standardized, pillar-to-pillar and multi displays. As lead designer, my goal was to provide a vision of auto interfaces with Maps as the hero - always present and providing value at any stage of a journey.

Working across teams, I developed visually striking, adaptive layouts that maximize larger screens while prioritizing driver well-being. This project wasn't about finding a final solution, but creating a versatile design language that evolves with technology, setting the foundation for intuitive and immersive automotive navigation experiences of the future.
