PROJECT STATEMENT
In my last year of school I decide to create a fun project that would combine my two areas of study; design and psychology. It could be any type of project but the output had to be physical and I aimed to include styles and design techniques that interested me at the time.

DESIGN APPROACH
I decided to create a book that would take an album and diagnose each song on it with a psychological disorder by listening to lyrics, mood and content of the song. Then I would create a single page to represent both the song and the disorder.
I used the album "Combat Rock" by The Clash and used a black and white collage style to give homage to the era and personality of the band. The images that were used depicted the disorder and song lyrics. The songs and disorders aren't explicitly listed but the pages are in track order and included on each page.
For a hint, Track 3, "Should I Stay or Should I Go" is diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
PROCESS
Each page was made by printing and cutting millions of images and laying them out by hand. They were manipulated both in this process and while scanning each page onto a computer. I did no computer manipulations before printing them again. This is the only picture of the chaos from that process.
